Scott Mall, IFDC chief communications officer, has demonstrated success creating and leading integrated strategies to build organizational reputation and presence and mobilizing stakeholders to support an organization’s strategic goals. He specializes in global communications; media relations; marketing and brand development; change management communications; and public affairs, government and community relations. Mall has hands-on experience leveraging public relations and marketing to build brand equity for world-class franchises (Ryder, Olympics, Miller Brewing Company).

Before coming to IFDC, he was the principal consultant for Mall Strategic Communications with clients such as the Federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Bonneville Power Administration (the U.S. Department of Energy’s largest unit). Prior to that, he held senior corporate communications and marketing positions at Ryder System, Inc., AutoNation and Scientific Games International. Mall was also director of communications for the Atlanta Committee for the Olympic Games. His experience includes serving as assistant press secretary for U.S. Senator Herman Talmadge (D-GA) and more than 20 federal and state political campaigns. Mall earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Georgia, Athens and completed all coursework for a master’s degree in journalism and public relations from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles.
