You Are Here:  IFDC -- Global Presence

IFDC’s decentralized organization allows its researchers and market development specialists to develop technologies where they will be most readily implemented and with the people who will most quickly adopt them.

This includes farmers, villages, local nongovernmental organizations, numerous national organizations, and private enterprises.

The potential of IFDC’s work is enhanced by the posting of scientists and market development specialists in locations around the world, including Afghanistan, Albania, Angola, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Belgium, Benin, Bolivia, Burkina Faso, Cambodia, Ecuador, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Kosovo, Kyrgyzstan, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Morocco, Mozambique, Muscle Shoals, AL (U.S.A.), Nepal, Niger, Nigeria, Peru, Romania, Senegal, South Africa, Syria, Tajikistan, Tanzania, Togo, Uganda, Vietnam, Washington D.C. (U.S.A.), and Zambia.

Working with our developing-country partners and keeping a down-to-earth perspective enables new technologies to be user friendly and quickly adopted and decreases the time lag for impact to be realized and measured. It also allows for dynamic and participatory work that reflects local needs, constraints, and challenges.
