is a public, nonprofit, international organization
dedicated to conduct its work independently and on a
scientifically sound basis. IFDC was founded
in 1974 to help in the quest for global food
security. |

The
center's goal is increasing agricultural
productivity in a sustainable manner through
the development and transfer of effective,
environmentally sound plant nutrient
technology and agricultural marketing
expertise. The Center has conducted
technology transfer activities in more than
120 countries. IFDC has contributed to
the development of human resources and
institutional capacity building in 150
countries through more than 600 training
programs. Its cadre of scientists and
professionals provide a unique mix of
applied research and technology transfer
capabilities. The Center's facilities
include libraries, laboratories,
greenhouses, pilot plant and training
facilities. Besides its Headquarters
in Muscle Shoals, AL (U.S.A), IFDC has
offices and/or staff stationed in
Afghanistan, Albania, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Belgium, Burkina Faso,
Ghana, Kenya, Kosovo, Kyrgyzstan, Malawi, Mali,
Mozambique,
Nigeria, Togo,
Uruguay, and Washington DC (U.S.A). |
