
IFDC—An International Center for Soil Fertility and
Agricultural Development — has held 660 workshops,
study tours, and training programs for 8,550
participants from 150 countries since 1974. The
programs have covered a wide range of subjects
including fertilizer marketing, production,
distribution and handling, and numerous specialized
topics.
In
recent years, related courses on integrated soil
fertility management, computer modeling and
simulation, policy and environmental issues related
to the production, marketing and use of agricultural
inputs have attracted participants from around the
world.
A nonprofit, public, international organization,
IFDC also conducts a range of specialized training
and study tours in the United States and elsewhere
tailored to the specific requirements of individual
companies and organizations.
